This August: Catching Up With Earth-217

Chase on his first ever panel at Gen Con Film Festival in Indianapolis.

It has been a big month for Earth-217!

On August 1st, the festival run for AN AFFAIR AT THE END OF TIME continued at the Gen Con Film Festival in Indianapolis, Indiana, where Chase was on his first ever filmmaking panel. You can watch the full screenwriting panel along with all other panel coverage over on the Gen Con Film Festival Facebook page!

AFFAIR was also selected for the Lake County Film Festival in Grayslake, IL where it will be screening twice over the course of the festival at the beginning of September.

In Earth-217 adjacent news: On August 2nd, a lot of familiar faces showed up for the latest episode of Camp Nostalgic Studios: Saturday Morning. Check out the hilarious, new episode (featuring the premiere of their new co-host, Mercedes DeSilva!) and so much more over at campnostalgic.org!

And the very next day, the laughs kept on coming as Chase & Shep released their 10th narrative project to date, CHASE & SHEP SUE KEVIN SMITH. Contrary to what the title suggests, this thing is a love letter to Kevin Smith through and through. An ode to the bond most of us have shared over Smith’s films and the inspiration he’s given us all throughout life. And, quite frankly, if you’ve kept up with Chase & Shep over the years, this thing practically wrote itself.

Last, but certainly not least, the official trailer for Earth-217’s next short film, FLIP & SUZY, was released.

Production started on the film back in April/May of 2024 and this week, we’ve finally reached the end of post-production. We’re all so proud and can’t wait for everybody to see this one!

We also dropped the official soundtrack over on the Earth-217 YouTube channel. But I’ll dive in to that more next time…
